Pilgrimage to Beatification

Arkansas Catholic is hosting a pilgrimage to the beatification of Father Stanley Rother, the first American martyr.

The Mass will be held at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City at 10 a.m. Saturday.

The bus will leave St. John Center in Little Rock at 8 a.m. Friday and make one stop in Van Buren to pick up additional passengers. We will return to Arkansas following the Mass Saturday.

Your pilgrimage ticket ($115 per person) includes transportation, admission to the Oklahoma City Memorial and Museum, and lunch during the Saturday return trip. Travelers sharing a hotel room must order their pilgrimage tickets together.

Also please reserve your hotel room ($100 per room, king or two queens) for up to four people in a room. We are staying in the new smoke-free Holiday Inn Airport. River Bar on site will be open until 10 p.m. A $25 single supplement is required if you will occupy a hotel room alone.

Friday Schedule:

8 a.m.: Leave Little Rock (bring your own brown bag lunch and snacks. Bottled water will be provided)
10:30 a.m.: Stop in Van Buren to pick up additional passengers (if necessary)
2 p.m.: Arrive at Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum for tour
5 p.m.: Dinner on your own in Bricktown (bricktownokc.com)
7:30 p.m.: Check into hotel

Saturday Schedule:

7-8 a.m.: Breakfast provided in hotel
8 a.m.: Check out of hotel and leave for Mass
8:30 a.m.: Arrive at Convention Center for Mass
10 a.m.: Mass
1 p.m.: Lunch provided from Jason's Deli aboard bus
4 p.m.: Make stop in Van Buren
7 p.m: Return to St. John Center
